Keene State College Athletes of the Week
The Keene State College athletic department named Tess Brown of the women’s lacrosse team and Wesley Odiase of the men’s basketball team this week’s Owls Athletes of the Week. This week’s selection encompassed action from February 25 through March 2.
Tess Brown

She was also named the LEC Defensive Player of the Week. In the Owls’ 14-5 win against Rivier University, Brown had six caused turnovers, eight ground balls, and three draw control wins. In the second game against Norwich University, Brown added four more ground balls, three caused turnovers, and three draw controls without turning the ball over. She also contributed 12 points from seven goals and five assists, leading the team in all three categories to start the season.
Wesley Odiase
Wesley Odiase, a sophomore forward from Dorchester, Massachusetts, played a crucial role in the Owls’ fourth-straight LEC Tournament Championship victory. Odiase scored a game-high 20 points in the 80-67 win, shooting 63.6% from the field, including a perfect 2-for-2 from three-point range and 4-for-4 at the free-throw line. He also grabbed nine rebounds, along with a block and a steal, in just 29 minutes of play.
