Intense 6v6 Action Unleashed in Rainbow Six Siege’s Dual Front Update

Ubisoft has introduced Rainbow Six Siege X, along with a new permanent game mode called Dual Front. Dual Front is a 6v6 game mode with respawns that maintains the tactical essence of Siege.

In Dual Front, the action unfolds on a single large map divided into two lanes leading from one team’s base to the other. Each lane is comprised of two sectors that teams must capture one by one by planting sabotage devices, similar to planting bombs in the main game mode. The key distinctions are the team size of six players and the need for teams to both attack the new enemy sector and defend their own simultaneously. Players can divide their team as they see fit, and there is a brief 30-second timer after death before re-entering the fray. Additionally, a neutral zone in the middle presents optional objectives, such as escorting a hostage to a helicopter, which provide bonuses to the successful team.

An interesting aspect of Dual Front is the limited operator pool, starting with 35 operators at launch, which will rotate regularly. This pool includes both attackers and defenders, allowing players to choose from either side regardless of their usual preference. This flexibility opens up new strategic possibilities to secure victory. Matches are anticipated to last between 20-25 minutes, with a 30-minute automatic match end timer. Upon Siege X’s release, there will be one map with symmetrical lanes, but Ubisoft intends to update and alter the map each season.

Dual Front is just one of the exciting features arriving with Rainbow Six Siege X when it launches on June 10 as part of Y10 S2 in the multiplayer shooter.
