RoboCop is set to return in a standalone follow-up to his faithful 2023 shooter, titled Robocop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business. This independent sequel follows metal man Murphy as he climbs a residential tower with other Detroit city policefolk to take on a group of highly trained mercenaries who have turned it into their deadly fortress.
The game promises a new breed of enemies on each floor, from flying drones to special forces equipped with jet packs and katana-wielding foes. Players can expect to face minigun-toting armoured squads and encounter deadly traps and heavily armed elite troops throughout the OmniTower.
Developers Teyon have added classic RoboCop elements, including FPS flashbacks with Murphy as a human cop, new abilities like a cryo cannon, and devastating finishing moves. While the premise may remind some of the movie Dredd, the game aims to cater to long-time fans of the ultra-violent satire from Paul Verhoeven.
RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is scheduled for release in Q3 2025, offering players a chance to step into the metallic shoes of the iconic law enforcement cyborg once again.
