Studio Fizbin, a small game developer, is facing closure just before the release of its final game, Reignbreaker. The founder, Alexander “Pepe” Pieper, announced the news on the company’s official site. The closure is due to the lack of a new project after Reignbreaker and Thunderful, the parent company, reducing internal development. Studio Fizbin, known for titles like The Inner World and Say No! More, will shut down after an 11-year run.
Despite the closure, Studio Fizbin is committed to making Reignbreaker the best game they’ve ever released. Post-launch support will be provided, and efforts will be made to help employees find new job opportunities. The founder expressed gratitude to fans for their support and to the team for their dedication.
The video game industry has seen other closures recently, including Godfall developer Counterplay Games and Warner Bros. Games’ decision to shut down Monolith and cancel a Wonder Woman game.
