Peaky Blinders is no stranger to video games, with previous VR and puzzle adventures based on the TV series. Now, the crime series is teaming up with World of Tanks for some mechanized warfare. Developer Wargaming Group has announced a new battle pass available for a limited time, offering Peaky Blinders-themed rewards to players, including characters like Tommy Shelby and members of his family.
The Peaky Blinders battle pass will be active from March 20 to March 31, featuring five characters to unlock. Each character will be fully voiced, although it’s unclear if the original actors are involved in this crossover.
The characters you can unlock through the battle pass include:
– Thomas Shelby
– Arthur Shelby
– John Shelby
– Ada Shelby
– Michael Grey
The ultimate reward in this battle pass is the Tier 9 Premium French medium tank Char Murat, a World War I tank with a Shelby makeover, referencing the global conflict that the Shelby brothers were involved in before the events of Peaky Blinders. Additionally, players can expect new Peaky Blinders-themed decals, inscriptions, and a specially composed soundtrack inspired by the show.
Despite initial skepticism, this collaboration between Peaky Blinders and World of Tanks is not out of the ordinary for the free-to-play game. Previous partnerships have included The Offspring, WWE, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. For those unfamiliar, Peaky Blinders is a British crime-drama series that aired for six seasons from 2013 to 2022.
Starring Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby, the show follows the rise of the Peaky Blinders gang in Birmingham, transforming into a formidable criminal organization. A film adaptation is currently in development.
