Lego Jurassic Park T-Rex Skeleton Set Overview
The newest licensed Lego set from Jurassic Park is a massive and impressive entry into the world of building blocks. Priced at $250, the Lego Jurassic Park T-Rex skeleton set consists of 3,145 pieces that allow you to construct the internal framework of the tyrant lizard. Members of Lego’s free Lego Insiders rewards program have early access to purchase this set, with general availability starting on March 15.
Exclusive to Lego Stores, sets like this often sell out quickly, so taking advantage of the early access for Lego Insiders is recommended if you want to build it promptly.
The set features a three-foot long T-Rex skeleton replica inspired by the one seen in the original Jurassic Park film. It also includes mini-figures of Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler, along with an information plaque containing interesting facts about the Cretaceous-era lizard king.
While there is some articulation, the intricate nature of this build makes it more suitable as a display piece for collectors rather than a playset for younger builders. However, kids can explore other Jurassic Park and Jurassic World sets, such as the Baby Bumpy Ankylosaurus and Dinosaur Missions kits. Fans of the first film can also enjoy the Visitor Center: T-Rex Attack set for a fun building experience. Additionally, new kits like the Dinosaur Fossils: Triceratops Skull and the Little Eatie T. Rex figure have been released this year.

Keep in mind that some sets are labeled as “retiring soon,” meaning they will no longer be produced by Lego once they are sold out. If you’re interested, it’s advisable to purchase these sets sooner rather than later to avoid inflated prices from third-party sellers.
