Fortnite Teaming Up with Kendrick Lamar for New Collaboration
Fortnite’s latest collaboration with a musical artist has been leaked, and this time, Epic’s popular battle-royale game seems to be partnering with none other than Kendrick Lamar.
Images of a cleverly named “Sit Down, Be Humble bundle” themed around Kdot were recently shared on social media by a well-known leaker. The bundle is rumored to include a dancing emote and a song.
Fans who were expecting Kendrick Lamar to use this collaboration to target rival rapper Drake may be disappointed, as the bundle appears to be centered around Lamar’s 2017 single, “Humble.” The leaked items in the bundle are said to be a Kendrick-themed dancing emote and a song, most likely “Humble.”
There is speculation among players that the emote might actually be related to Lamar’s diss track aimed at Drake, “Not Like Us,” based on the emote icon. However, until Epic Games or Kendrick Lamar confirm the collaboration, it’s all just speculation. The bundle could potentially include more items than what has been leaked, or it could be part of a larger collaboration between the Grammy-winning rapper and Fortnite, known for its major collaborations with popular musicians.
If the leak turns out to be true, this won’t be the first time Kendrick Lamar has merged gaming with his music. During his Superbowl LIX halftime show, Lamar performed several of his hits (including “Not Like Us”) on a stage designed to resemble a PlayStation controller. The performance was meant to represent Lamar’s life as a video game, according to his production team and collaborators.
